On December 12, 2023, Altametris, a software publisher aiming to manage and process large amounts of 2D and 3D data on industrial infrastructures, particularly on railway networks, signed a new partnership with RAILwAIa software solution provider enabling the optimization of transport infrastructure maintenance.

Two complementary solutions serving railway maintenance

RAILwAI's solution features various analysis modules (weather, traffic, geometry, signaling, etc.) with the ability to establish correlation links between data from different modules to identify co-variables of infrastructure defects. This enables the system to make predictions about the occurrence of defects based on their digital signatures and the real or projected evolution of their co-variables.

On its part, Altametris has developed a collection offering, but more importantly, a suite of software for large-scale data visualization and processing. Altametris processes various types of data, including imagery, satellite data, but primarily 3D LiDAR data for railway gauge analysis, catenary geometry, ballast conformity, and characterization of hazardous vegetation along the tracks. These solutions provide the maintainer with the most precise information possible to understand the operational status of their infrastructure and make informed maintenance decisions.

Both companies thus identify a real complementarity in their solutions, whereby Altametris Suite provides information on the state of the infrastructure and its defects through the valorization of LiDAR data. These data can then be reintegrated into the RAILwAI solution to broaden the horizon of potential co-variables and feed the data used to produce dynamic maintenance plans.

« We are very pleased with this partnership with Altametris. The crux of predictive maintenance lies in data accuracy. Our combined expertise is a real asset for the collection and analysis of railway data » says Bruno Dabilly, SEO of RAILwAI.

« Our mission is not to use Artificial Intelligence to replace human expertise, but to provide all the necessary information for decision-making. This partnership will strengthen our respective offerings and enable us to reach new markets, particularly internationally » déclare Alexis Meneses, Director of Srategy at Altametris.

A joint offering to respond to international calls for tender

This new partnership will enable both companies to strengthen their offerings to meet the demands of clients outside of France. This new step for RAILwAI confirms its intention to internationalize, a strategy already initiated last May with the opening of an office in Barcelona and the announcement of the signing of a contract with Railroads of the Generalitat of Catalonia (FGC).
